#WatchItWednesdays: Mormons Vs The Mexican Mafia

Wednesday, July 23, 2014 by | No Comments | Category: Art, Entertainment, Movie Review, Review, Video

As I was scrolling through my mentions recently I noticed a post from @Figueroa_Newton that said something along the lines of “Make sure you check out Mitt Romney & the Mormons fighting the Mexicans.” and of course it piqued my interest. I mean of course we all understood that Mitt was against immigration, gay marriage and probably the entire under 40 white male crowd as a whole but I didn’t think his family was at war with them… Check out the rest after the jump,

PS. I know that some people hate to read, so I made a drinking game to go along with it!

#WatchItWednesday: The Next Porn Craze? Looner Porn AKA Balloon Boy/Girl.

Wednesday, July 23, 2014 by | No Comments | Category: Art, Entertainment, Journalism, Movie Review, Review

I’ve seen some crazy things in my life. One time I watched in horror as a middle-aged woman wiped herself from front to back and then stuck the used toilet paper back to the seat she was in on an MTA train (keep in mind it was 730am on a Tuesday), but this definitely has creeped into my top 10 strangest behaviors witnessed. I mean… I consider myself pretty open minded. & I’ve watched BubbleBoy, so I understand loving something that can’t be touched but just falling in love with the boy’s bubble? I’m still trying to get a grasp on this.

Fried & Greedmont present #WatchItWednesday‘s where I’ll be typing my initial reactions to watching documentaries & helping bring up some points of discussion to let you all interact as well. Hope you enjoy, catch the live stream after the jump!

KEY! and OG Maco Live Give Em Hell Performance [Video]

Wednesday, July 16, 2014 by | No Comments | Category: Music, Rap, Video

Just a few days later after the release of KEY!’s and OG Maco’s Give Em Hell EP, and their release party, they decide to do a pop up shop in East Atlanta Village with J.I.D and Money Makin Nique to celebrate the release of their joint project Lucky Buddha, as well as theirs. It was something to say thank you, to the city of Atlanta for all the overwhelming support. The project has only been out a week, and based from this video alone, one would think the tape had been out for months. This footage shows them performing the standout records from the project, OG Maco’s “U Guessed It” ft. KEY! and KEY!’s solo record, “Give Em Hell”. They may just have the records/project of the summer. One time for OGG and OPB. Shot by Malcolm Fareli.

KEY! and OG Maco – Give Em Hell EP

Monday, July 7, 2014 by | No Comments | Category: Music, Rap

KEY! and OG Maco come together and combine their campaigns, OPB and OGG, to drop Give Em Hell, an 8 track EP for the summer. With their two unreleased records (at the time), “Give Em Hell” and “U Guessed It” building organic buzz around the city of Atlanta and eventually abroad, from DJ’s, friends, and word of mouth, it motivated them to create an entire joint EP. So what started out as just a few freestyles has turned into potentially one of the hottest projects of the summer.
