Edible Things
In honor of Valentine’s Day I thought that I would have a little word about what people think is sexy for Valentine’s Day, like chocolates, edible panties, and flavored lubricants. The vagina is a delicate place. Think of it like this, it’s warm and moist (hopefully); any other situation under these circumstances can be disastrous where mold, fungi and bacteria can form. Keeping everything in balance is important to keeping a healthy, happy pussy.
When we think of introducing things to the vaginal area we must be careful. First things first, our own personal hygiene; honestly this can be a long conversation with either party, but for the sake of conversation let’s just assume that everyone has washed their ass. Guys, please and thank you, cut and clean your finger nails if you want to put your fingers in someone! Would you want a dirty fingernail finger swirling around in your mouth? That sounds gross doesn’t it? Cleanliness is next to godliness, if one is unsure, then take a shower together and clean each other (don’t be afraid to get in the nooks and cranny).
An important thing to note is that there are items that can go on the vagina and others that go in the vagina. Sometimes these things are not interchangeable. Talk to your partner, some women’s vaginal balance is way more delicate than others. Some women never have yeast infections, while others might have them often. This is not a measure of their cleanliness, rather probably a mixture of diet and foreign introductions to the vaginal area that set off a chain of events. Even certain foods (like dairy product and wheat) or underwear (cotton vs. lace) can facilitate infections.
When looking for products for the vagina make sure that they are breathable. Stay away from petroleum base products or products with lot a of dye and fragrance. Water based items are best. If you decide to go with real foods just remember on is usually safer than in. If whipped cream or chocolate is being used in the fellatio process, make sure to wipe the penis down with a clean moist towel before putting the condom on (or into the vagina/anus raw if y’all are getting down like that – not recommended).
There are lots of products on the market that are safe to use that you can get from the grocery store, drugstore.com, or your local sex shop. The key is to look at which are best for you and your partner and the experience you want to have.
The moral to this story is: Respect the vagina and she will be kind to you.
