For Those Who Would Like To Be, But Aren’t – [PSA]

From time to time, I delve into interesting conversation with random individuals about their personal goals in life. 90% of the time, they fill their half of the dialogue with a barrage of “I want to be” phrases… if you happen to be a person who practices this, I encourage you to stop. Immediately.
If you’re going to be, you already are.
As long as you “want to be,” you never will.
The longer you “want to be,” the longer you won’t.
Seriously, think about it. Let’s say you want to be a doctor. Every choice from THE MOMENT YOU MAKE THIS DECISION will determine whether you ever reach that goal or not. It isn’t just about you enrolling in medical school, studying late nights and paying attention in class. It’s about making sure you’re doing well in other courses as well. It’s about developing relationships with the professors. It’s about seeking that internship position before everybody else makes their attempt. It’s about getting a good night of sleep before the interview.
It’s about every…single…choice- not just the correct ones on the exit exam.
Let’s be frank. Though EVERYBODY wants to be a success, our world is full of “losers”- people who had ideas, dreams, and goals…but reached none of them due to an acidic mixture of their circumstance, as well as personal decisions.
Do you think these people made a choice to become losers?
Ultimately, yes. But that wasn’t their conscious goal.
Unfortunately, neither was making their dreams come true! Therefore, their potential got lost in a concoction of unconscious, uninspiring actions. Every choice they made- from procrastinating, unhealthy thoughts, surroundings or the lack on drive, became another addition to their creation.
Now, they’re losers…the world’s majority.
I encourage you to do the opposite.
Win.
Make an effort to BE what you’d like to be with every choice that you make currently…rather than focusing on becoming a __________ one day.
Make “one day”…today.
This is for those who would like to be, but aren’t.
This is for those who wouldn’t like to be, but are.

This PSA makes me want to quit my job and ask whose coming with me. Dope post.
