I believe I’ll take it from here
and say some things that I know my peers have needed to hear
I’m speaking to the ones without expensive cars or access to a Lear,
but still yearn to be uplifted and need a shift in their gears
This is for….
those who haven’t gathered many years,
but are the scholars of their lives and make their passions a career
-who refuse to dilute what they can fathom with a fear,
and though our world told them no, they know not to adhere!
They weren’t Wright when they said ‘man couldn’t fly’ -now we para-sail,
so do whatever you’d do if you knew you wouldn’t fail
Don’t get distracted by staying focused on the end,
and never move when all you need to do is BEGIN
Even though it was taken, and distributed for us
you need to always remember that this world…
…is yours!
You came here with nothing, and will leave with the same luggage
so find a purpose for life beside acquiring some money
Everybody’s doing the same things, and expecting different outcomes
Create your own lane- dance to the beat of your own drum,
because those seas that lift you can sink you,
and life’s hard as FUCK….
…but it’s something you can get through
So take the scenic route, embrace the road less traveled
recognize the power that you have, but don’t ever let the power have you!
