On Tuesday, September 11th, 2012, LRG released Orlando rapper Armstrong’s highly-anticipated street-album Kold World, Kold Blood. The mixtape, hosted as an All-Star collaboration by DJ Holiday and DJ D-Strong, premiered on Dat Piff as a Hollywood East Entertainment and FBMLE release. A product of West Orlando, Florida, Armstrong became a legend in the streets before ever recording his first mixtape, The Money Bag, which dropped just before his 3-year incarceration began in 2008. His music continued to spread during his time behind bars. Determined to make the most of his time on work release, which started in May of 2011, he recorded 3 mixtapes in a home studio during weekend visits. Vampire Life, followed by Vampire Nation and Silence of the Lambz set the streets on fire and created huge anticipation for his release from prison in November of 2011. Since then, Armstrong has performed at over 30 sold out shows across the state of Florida and generated a buzz extending nationwide with song highlights including “Wamp Wamp,” and “645″. A documentary film about his life recently premiered to a sold-out crowd at Orlando’s Plaza Cinema Theatre.
Album features include Alley Boy, Trouble, Gorilla Zoe, Slim-E, Dolla Boy, Eldorado Red and Killa Creepa with production from Beat Billionaire, Bankbwoi, The Professionals, Kay Terry and more. Here’s the audio from one of the stand out tracks, “Choices” ft. Gorilla Zoe.
