It’s the New Year and obviously you want to put your best foot forward. Here are four fresh shoe styles that will help keep you looking good when you step out.
Put the Boots to Them
Dress boots blew up in 2015 and it’s not hard to see why. The classic Chelsea boots (a big part of the British “mod” scene since the ’60s) are dressy, comfortable, and casual. They can also pair with just about outfit you throw at them. Pair of jeans and a leather jacket? Looking sharp. Got a suit for a big date? Slip your boots on out the door and look like a million bucks. We love the lack of laces and the elastic side panel makes them real easy to toss on when you’re on your way out the door. What’s also cool is that Chelsea boots provide a lot of options, as made evident at Lyst. That goes for whether you’re looking for a classic black or brown leather or want a suede option to soften things up.
My Adidas Won’t Be Mad
When Adidas dropped the the all-white Stan Smiths, they blew up with the quickness and these rare kicks were all the rage for 2015. The all-whites are gorgeous but you have to be careful to keep them looking bright and pristine. Luckily, High Snobiety points out that you can sport that Stan Smith style in all black with a new colorway of the shoe that came out at the end of 2015. Adidas sneakers have been undeniable since the days of Run DMC. They never really went anywhere, yes, but the Stan Smith branding has put the sneakers on the next level. Did you know the Smiths weren’t even originally Stan Smiths? They were actually put out under the name of French tennis pro Robert Haillet until American pro Stan Smith balled out to become number one in 1971—and a stone cold classic was born.
Walk a Mile Off In My Air Forces
All-white sneakers were huge in 2015 (largely thanks to the aforementioned Stan Smiths) and it’s been predicted by The Huffington Post that this style isn’t going anywhere for next season. When it comes to white kicks, there’s nothing better than the Nike Air Force 1. The shoe was introduced over 30 years ago (in 1982) and still looks as fresh today as it did back then. Good luck finding a more stylish pair of kicks for around a hundo.
Timbs On My Feet Makes My Cipher Complete
This could also go for work boots in general, but you’d be hard pressed to find a quality boot that has the same amount of style points as the classic Timberland. There’s something great about the versatility of a boot that looks fly as all get out when on your feet but could also be used when you feel like, you know, doing actual work. With proper care, a pair of Tims will last for years and years, which more than justifies the price tag of these boots. Plus, Timberlands are having something of a style renaissance after being spotted in numerous music videos including Drake’s “Hotline Bling”.
