Everyone knows that Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now” is one of my favorite rap anthems, right now. And Iggy Azalea’s freestyle is easily my favorite take on the cocky charmer. The video is even more dope, showing that Iggy is a true character. Check it out.

Revive know for bringing some of the best and highest fashion to Michigan and even state side is doing another collaboration with the infamous Dr.Romanelli. Last time DRX and Revive collabed on a project known as “The Detroit Collection”. The collection consisted of outer wear designed after Detroit sports teams. All of the pieces contained parts of various Detroit teams respectable jerseys. The new collection will take inspiration from the blue collar working class that the Motor City has gotten much of its fame for. Dr.Romenlli will also be designing logos for Revives next big project. A short visual will be released soon though it’s content is still a large secret.

Trailer for the upcoming series “All Of The Above”
A project by Gabriel Gomez & Julien Melendez
We wish to create a very stylized, uniquely-formatted show consisting of little [absurd, hilarious, terrifying, depressing, and everything in between] slice-of-life ‘vignettes’. All Of The Above has the ability to communicate proverbial snippets of everyone’s day-to-day life. It is genre-less and boundary-breaking, complex while maintaining simplicity, and could truly inspire a new form of film making and visual storytelling altogether. These short ‘vignettes’ could reach and inspire artists to return to simplicity, and give general audiences the means to appreciate the ordinary, the realistically odd, and the downright bizarre.”

Dropped in my email sometime back was a track from Q of Detroit’s own Tru Great Lakers. Egyptian is an airy summer joint that any one can ride too. I didn’t get the chance to explore Q’s mixtape Juice as much as I would have liked this track definitely made me double take and check it out again.

Adele’s soulful hymn is fastly becoming one of the most covered tunes out there. the K of KofTHEY (@KofTHEY) takes a stab at it and it is instantly becoming my favorite cover, so far. You might know him formerly as Kevin Michael. Look out for more music from the funky champ.

I have been on Kendrick Lamar a lot recently. I got into him after his mixtape, Overly Dedicated, and had to go backwards and listen to his past mixtapes. I feel his #Section80 project is going to drop some real knowledge to its listeners. Sources say Kendrick Lamar is also working on a project with J. Cole, which I’m sure will be hot fire. *Dylan shrug*

This track is by no means new, but this is how I’m feeling right now. The routines must stop. Some may see patterns. Others just think it would make a great cloth. I recently rewatched Sam Greenlee’s “The Spook Who Sat By The Door,” so the line by David Banner hit hard. If you are unfamiliar with the title, it is a novel that was passed off as a “blaxplotation” film that was quickly banned after its release due to the controversial messages in it. I would highly suggest giving it a search on YouTube.
