Coming To Life With Young America’s Newest Renegade, Corey Davis [Interview]
Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

It’s all science. Talent, hard work, and patience creates something great. Most see the fruition of the great things that one is capable of in the final stages, they don’t see the in between. Well, until now. Corey Davis is one of the most promising contenders in young America.

Just finishing celebrating a twenty-fourth birthday in New York, Corey Davis has the credentials that some twice his age would envy. Half of the successful indie band Mach5, co-creator of the publication Greedmont Park, tattoo artist, graphic and fashion designer, and full-time smooth criminal. Corey in appearance might seem on the surface like your average, skateboard-friendly stoner, but that’s far from the truth. Corey Davis is a artist who has seemingly found a balance between art, business, and fun. I caught up wit him to talk about what exactly is the method of the madness and he simply came to life.

Kreemo represents innovation in its youth, and lately they have been garnering much attention. The team of young geniuses include B.Write, Desmond Attmore, and LaVan Wright. Their unique, innovative illustrations will secure Kreemo on the list of respected brands. Their creations,so far, include depictions of artists such as Kid Cudi, Curren$y, Diggy, Lupe Fiasco, Pharrell, and Vashtie.

Most recently, Kreemo has gained support from Kid Cudi. Although the video is a bit dated, two days ago Kid Cudi posted the interview that Kreemo conducted with him. Check out the interview here. Stay alert for more coverage on the emerging brand, Kreemo.

Takin’ it back: Rage Against the Machine- Bulls on Parade
Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

In the late 90′s when I was going to high school in California, rock bands like Korn, Deftones, Limp Bizkit and Rage Against the Machine were all the well…rage. Being the socially conscious teen that I was, I highly favored RATM. I loved their profanity laced rants about Politics, the corrupt justice system and the never ending fight for equality. Any band (or anyone) that was against “THE MAN” and all for empowering minorities was cool in my book. Front man Zach de la Rocha’s word play was so dope and I loved the fact that he was avid activist. Their second Album ‘Evil Empire’ was always on heavy rotation.

Artwork by Frances Bean Cobain
Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain; debuted her artwork at the Scumfuck exhibition for the La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles. Her work was debuted under the pseudonym Fiddle Tim. Pretty dark stuff, however, interesting. Can’t say that I expected happy flowers and rainbows.  Her artwork has already sold out, I wonder if we will be seeing more of her artwork soon?
