Ryan McGinley is an American photographer based in New York City who began his career in the late 90′s. His work has been described a narrative of liberation and hedonism,a suiting description I’d say.

Though seemingly morbid at first glance, Candy Chang has taken a phrase that many may not like to regularly ponder about, and created a message. On the wall of an abandoned home, a team worked with Chang to create a mural that would coax people into stopping and taking a moment to consider what may really be important in their lives.
It read, Before I die I would like to _____________.
Chalk was left behind to provoke thought, emotion and expulsion.

So I spent the last two weeks backpacking from Mexico City to Cancun, from the Petrified Waterfalls of Oaxaco to the Seventh wonder of the world in Merida, I even went to visit a Zapatista Village in Chiapas. Documenting the different aspects of their culture and way of living for Greedmont TV and Creative Control. Until we get all the footage edited up here’s some photos I managed to catch along the way. Beautiful people, beautiful culture. Enjoy [Photos by Corey Davis]

The danish nazi-party, DSNB, arranged a summer concert in their headquarter in Greve yesterday. A couple of hundred anti-fascists gathered in a demonstration to stop the concert, and foremost to prevent DNSB in recruiting new members. The demonstration was a succes – only 6 nazis attended the concert and 2 out of 3 bands total cancelled their gig. After 3 hours of sitting on the street listening to speeches and music, they demonstration turned around and went back to Hundige Station. 100 meters from the station, riots broke out due to an arrestation of a woman who accidently hit a policebike with her car. 3 people were arrested and one girl got bit by a policedog in her thigh, and one policeman was slightly injured. After an hour or so, the demonstration jumped on the train and went back to Copenhagen. [Photos by Lasse Kofod.]

When two of the biggest hip-hop moguls of our time link up, it obviously makes out for a great documentary. I’m so glad they caught all the magic that was done. From past to present…

Can’t afford a Canon 5D? Designer Matt Nicholson has devised a free alternative, the printable Paper Lie-ca M3 Pinhole Camera. Print out the design online, chop, fold and tape into shape, then add a role of film and you’re shooting pinhole-style. Sure, it may not yield anywhere near the fidelity of a legendary Leica, but pinhole photography can have pretty stunning effects. Well now you can have one because the template will be available for download from Lie-ca this week.

I came across this website called the “Ballerina Project” in search of inspiration for my upcoming photoshoot… I have always appreciated the graceful movement ballet has to offer & give much respect to those that are able to achieve this wonderful talent.. Beyond beautiful? indeed.
