Don’t wanna sweat out your perm riding a fixed-gear, or get haggled by bikers for pulling up to a red light on a Vespa? German Designers Tom Mudra and Hans-Tobias Schicktanz found the perfect medium by designing a sleeker way to ride around town called the Mosquito.
“Our aim was to create a lightweight and attractive E-Bike suitable for urban places. The motor is powered by lithium batteries which cost about a dollar to charge. The Mosquito has got a range of about 37 miles with a maximum Speed of 30 miles”
Well, hopefully you dont have too far to go, or you might be hitching a ride back home. But this thing still looks pretty cool.

Just like the CDJ, I’m afraid Serato will become a thing off the past with the Release of Wacoms Nextbeat DJ Controller. Wacom has built a strong reputation on developing some of the most popular brand stylus tablets for the world of graphic design. This month, they enter a new territory with the Wacom Nextbeat dj controller. Wacom Nextbeat is a stand-alone DJ controller that featuers a wide range of precision controls rom effects to sampling to cue and more. But unlike Wacom tablet, this can operate independent of a PC connection. Featuring 2 turntables, a 2-channel mixer, a sampler and an effector it even allows for a detachable portable unit allowing the DJ to move around while communicating with the nextbeat’s base wirelessly. Bring a iPod and the Nextbeat to the club, you’re ready to get the crowd hype. No word on US release or pricing yet, but it hits Japan in September for $1,796 USD
A.ware was considedring becoming a DJ, maybe I should get him this for Christmas.

Cudi covers Complex.

Kid Cudi will be on the cover of Complex’s August/September issue. I’ve been searching Borders and Barnes&Nobles for a copy for three days now, but I don’t think it’s out yet. Anyways, Mr. Mescudi teamed up with graffiti artist, Augor for the illustrations in the issue. You can go to Complex to read the article and check out a video of Cudi and Augor working at the photoshoot. Plus peep Augor’s blog, to see how he worked on the illstruations.

Who got da Green?
Friday, August 7, 2009 by Corey Davis | No Comments | Category: Tech

I think these corporations are starting to take this whole “Green Movement” thing a little too far, you can’t turn everything green. The process for recycling some materials are actually more harmful to the environment. Sprint and Samsung has just introduced the Reclaim, a cellphone made from 80 percent recycled materials. This sliding, QWERTY message-friendly phone is made from “bio-plastic” materials made from corn, and is free of PVC. The packaging will be eco-friendly as well, as it’s constructed from 70 percent recycled materials and printed with soy-based ink. And it comes “Earth Green” or “Ocean Blue” come August 16th for $50 (after a $30 instant rebate and $50 mail-in rebate) with a two-year contract. I know we can all make a difference one at a time but to me it seems like they are taking advantage of some of the earth friendly consumers they are marketing to.

Bond
Thursday, July 23, 2009 by A.ware | No Comments | Category: Tech

I finally found one of these jump offs, a real life watch phone from Samsung straight Bond style. It features a 1.76-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, email support and MP3 playback. And guess what it only cost a small price of $650 which doesn’t include a service plan, I’m about order mine now.
