Lady Gaga is on the cover of Rolling Stone, and dare I say she looks scandalous. Wearing a crop blonde bob that is reminiscent of Catherine Zeta Jones in the hit film Chicago, and the Maddonesque gun bra which made it’s debut appearance in her Alejandro video. The pop star looks deadly. This cover is a subtle turn around from her bubble dress days. Below are some excerpts from her tell all interview.
In the Interview Gaga gets candid about her sense of self:“When I wake up in the morning, I feel just like any other insecure 24-year-old girl. Then I say, ‘B***h, you’re Lady Gaga, you get up and walk the walk today.’ “
In the Interview, Gaga Talks about maintaining her public image: “If I were to ever, God forbid, get hurt onstage and my fans were screaming outside of the hospital, waiting for me to come out, I’d come out as Gaga … I don’t even drink water onstage in front of anybody, because I want them to focus on the fantasy of the music.”
In the Interview Gaga talks about the upcoming album, and about the darker side of her that is being revealed though her music: I think I’m gonna get the album tatooed on me and put out the photo. I’ve been working on it for months now, and I feel very strongly that it’s finished right now. It came so quickly. Some artist take years; I don’t. I write music everyday. Concerning the darker tone of her new music: Now I’m going to have to bake a cake that has a bitter jelly. The message of the new music is not more bitter than it was before. Because the sweeter the cake, the more bitter the jelly can be.
Whatever the hell that means. I love it when artist respect their fans enough to allow us into sessions of their lives through their art, their music. A lot of artist experience things and take years off to heal, but others get inspired by the pain and sporadic moments of growth, make good music, and while doing so allow fans to come along for the ride. Can’t wait to hear the upcoming album, and see more of her avant garde style videos. Hope you enjoyed! XXXO.
