Here’s another leak from SMKA’s The 808 Experiment: Vol. 2, a new heart-felt track from Yelawolf bout his Mother(car). Judging from the 3 leaks we’ve heard so far, this project seems pretty promising. This song in particular reminds me of Hip-Hop when it still had some soul to itself…. Reminiscent of an old Do or Die song when they was in their prime. It’s pretty much flawless from beat to the lyrics to the hook to the delivery, yada-yada-yada. Check it…

The 808 Experiment: Vol. 1 [BlacWaldo Remix] will be released on December 28th, exactly 1 year after the release of The 808 Experiment: Vol. 1, and approximately 1 month before the release of The 808 Experiment: Vol. 2 (January 18th). The project will feature 10 tracks off The 808 Experiment: Vol. 1, remixed by BlacWaldo. SMKA linked up with BlacWaldo for the project because he is considered to be one of the “Gold Coast’s” most respected underground DJs/Producers. BlacWaldo’s unique, electro production style brings a new perspective to Creative Loafing’s 2009 Best Local Mixtape. The project is presented by SMKA, Nomad MGMT & Greedmont Park. The cover art is designed by Corey Davis (of Mach Five) and is a creative twist on the original artwork by Diwang Valdez.

Here’s the album artwork I just completed for Blac Waldo’s Remix on SMKA’s 808 Experiment: Vol. 1 due December 28th. I definitely enjoyed doing this shitload of portraits for different rappers(60% of them I don’t know, but it was real fun making characters outta my favorite MC’s).
