During Atlanta’s recent A3C Hip Hop Festival, Grooveshark teamed up with the legendary Stankonia Studios and the Royal Flush/SMKA production team to create an exclusive mixtape. The mixtape features original songs from artists playing the festival as well as some hometown heroes, and will be available November 16 to stream for free exclusively on Grooveshark. The tracks will be accompanied by several behind the scenes videos featuring the artists and production teams creating the songs from start to finish. Artists who participated in the project include 9th Wonder, Killer Mike, the Ying Yang Twins, Rapsody, Freeway, Thurzday, and many more.

I got word a couple days ago that some of Texas’ own will be at the Hip-Hop Festival in Atlanta in October. Austin-based rap supergroup, League of Extraordinary G’z, will be on the Back Outdoor Stage along with other performances by Big K.R.I.T., Jean Grae, Pill, Aleon Craft, Saigon, J. Nics, Yonas, and Jon Hope.
