I’ll never underestimate the works of Disney. In time for Valentine’s Day, Disney releases a short animated film via their Youtube Channel titled Paperman. A story about two lovebirds in mid-century New York City bounded by destiny and whole bunch of paper airplanes. Directed by John Kahrs, known for his work in Tangled and The Incredibles.

LeSean Thomas is a South Bronx NYC native who recently moved to Korea for work. Most known for his animations and illustrations, I’ve been following his artwork since his Arkanium comic book series, but he is currently Producer & Director of the new Black Dynamite cartoon and was the lead animator for the Boondocks animated series.

He walks a lonely path until a chance encounter changes his life forever: he meets a female zero. Together they prove that through determination, courage, and love, nothing can be truly something. [Directed by Christopher Kezelos]

The Wanna Be Oddie from Ben Lam on Vimeo.
This is a great 3D animation created by Ben Lam, influenced by the good ol’ slapstick humor once made popular by early black and white cartoon. I love the feel and creativity of the short film and it was a very entertaining way to illustrate the power of innovation. Also, peep the Nikes on the little dude.

I’m not a vegetarian, but I am aware of how unhealthy fast food is. However, this animated short film put a whole new spin on the dangers of eating out.
