MOVIE REVIEW: Fast Five

The Fast and Furious 5 is such a beast of a movie. The first four movies are definitely canned meat, and this last installment they definitely more Grade-A Beef, with all the fat trimed off. Instead of focusing on lame car culture (See: Tokyo Drift) , the movie franchise has shifted it attention to being more of a heist film with epic car crashes, explosions, and awesome shoot out (the stuff people want). Also the new additions is they movie feature more ‘real’ car stunts and mayhem, as oppose to all the CGI driving of the earlier films. It’s like the took a page out Jerry Bruckheimer’s play book and went to town. F5 also answer the age old question, who is a bigger bad-ass, Vin Diesel or Dwanye “THE ROCK” Johnson? And the answer is the Rock. The Rock is yoked up like a mother f**ker in this movie, and he is sweating through out like a slave on the Amistad. He has an intensity that I ain’t since Mr. T played Clubber Lang in Rocky II. I guess he trying to make up for all those Disney movies he played and double down on the intensity for this movie. But all in all, Fast Five and a decent action movie that will please it’s target demographic. This movie gets my seal of approval.
THE GOOD:
- Epic Car Crashes, Explosions and Stunts dialed way up.
- Romantic sub-plots are scaled back and focus is on da’ ACTION!
- THE ROCK!
THE BAD:
- The Dirty Dozen part of this movie is lame where they assemble THE TEAM…esp the femme-fatale girl who suppose to be the “Point Man” There is scene where is loading a fuck load of guns, but all she ever does is sachey her boney twat all in the camera. What a Bootleg-SALT!
- Bucho (guy from Desperado is the villain) he was gangster then, but weak-sauce now.
- Movie seem to have too many characters that are called for or proper have chemistry. Just throw in a bunch of shit in a pot and hope it melts together??? Stupid!
VERDICT: Dwayne Johnson in the same movie with Vin Diesel, add in guns and cars and nice looking women and only a Moron could mess that combination up. The end result: success.
GRADE: B+
Aircraft

So how long have we been wondering when will technology take road vehicles into the air, since the Jetsons right, or maybe im alone. Terrafugia a private company based in Wonburn, Massachusetts developed The Transition, a roadable aircraft, the company describes it as a “Personal Air Vehicle”.
The aircraft is designed to change configurations, giving it the ability to operate as a traditional road vehicle and as a general aviation airplane. Its no longer a concept the first couple have been tested and approved.
The Transition runs on gas and can go about 450 miles. Anyone can drive it as a car, but you will need a key code to make the wings unfold sick.
The Terrafugia Transition will be making its debut next month and will be available for commercial resources by the end of 2009. The cost is $194,000. I have to give it to these guys this is wild but, I’m gonna need at least another ten years before i even consider riding in one of these son.
