Last Friday I teamed up with the ADE homies and Trinidad to hit Athens for a packed out show. It was pretty intense, ADE got the behind the scenes footage before and after the show, We stopped by Trinidad’s spot and they did a short interview as we pre-gamed before we hit the road. We’ve selected some of the dopest up and coming acts in the city for the poll, Only one artist will be selected as the opener with a 10 min show set, The poll will close at 5pm EST on Friday 08/26, Spread the word for your favorite artist, see you saturday at the show!

Kendrick got the whole West cliqued up and riding for him and pretty soon the domino effect will soon sweep the nation once he’s recognized as the realest out. We live in a new generation of rap where the days of Public Enemy and 2pacs have cease to exist. I understand we all love to party and have a good time but there are also current events going on that NEED to be touched. Everyone that is in the spotlight are shying away from the revolution (except Lupe but you see what they did to him) and retreat into their comforts of silence and ignorance further fueling what the “Powers that be” want US to be just to insure their own personal safety. Come support the #HiiiPower movement with Jeanocide & Greedmont as we set to turn up 8.27.11 at The Loft accompanied by Cory Gunz & Cyhi Da Prynce. This is the real thing. King Plow Arts Center, Pryourity Clothing, and Fadia Kader host the 1st Annual 4Twenty Art & Music Fest at King Plow Arts Center on Wednesday, April 20th, 2011. This event is live art and music, featuring incredible visual artists painting live. Cyhi Da Prynce headlines the group of musicians and he will be joined by Pill, Laws, The Mad Violinist, Priceless the Kid, The Starting 5, DJ Dibiase, and other surprise guests to be named later. Greg Mike and the ABV Collective team of artists will be doing live paintings that will be available for purchase online after the event.
King Plow Arts Center is located on Marietta Street about a mile north of Philips Arena. Advance tickets are $10 at www.kingplowevents.com and $15 at the door. Follow @kingplow or Twitter hashtag #4Twenty for ticket giveaways and announcements. Pryourity Clothing will have special edition merchandise for the event. End of the year festivities usually call for excessive amounts of alcohol, herbal consumptions and a single round table to discuss the past and what’s in store for the future. Hip-hop took a left turn during the year of 2010 and parked its vehicles in the lot of many listeners’ computer hard drives. Leaked singles, mixtapes and the infamous weekly music series took over blogs, tweets and Facebook shared link posts. If one was not fully aware of what the art of hip-hop consist of, then this year definitely helped in their reassurance. Grab a seat at the round table while Greedmont Park reflects on the year that hip-hop arose from [what Nas may say] the dead and manifested the origin of creativity in ways that pleased the ear and inspired the mind. “Just got Dipset verses for Christmas in Harlem! Eeeeevrybody on it!!!! Cam, Vado, Jimmy, Pusha, Big Sean, Cyhi, Teyana Taylor & Musiq,” Ye tweeted yesterday afternoon after the leak featuring only Taylor and Prynce appeared on various blogs. G.O.O.D. and Dipset!? That pretty much sums up the track. Awesome gift for fans, including myself. I also ran across news that this should be on Itunes today, but can’t confirm that. You know what to do if it is!! Surprised by Taylor’s vocals on the hook though. She doing her thang, much respect! Maybe she’ll be the first lady of G.O.O.D. Music?? We’ll find out [hopefully] sooner than later. Links below.
