I got word a couple days ago that some of Texas’ own will be at the Hip-Hop Festival in Atlanta in October. Austin-based rap supergroup, League of Extraordinary G’z, will be on the Back Outdoor Stage along with other performances by Big K.R.I.T., Jean Grae, Pill, Aleon Craft, Saigon, J. Nics, Yonas, and Jon Hope.

Last night, Kanye West performed one of his most epic shows. From fan favorites to explosive creative direction throughout the whole performance, he held it out for 1 hour and 36 minutes. And not to mention, his style was on point. First coming to stage wearing a Celine Spring 2011 printed shirt and than closing the scene with all-red suit with Air Yeezy 2.

Todd Selby has been photographing the homes of creative people for his blog, The Selby is in Your Place. Now his photographs will be on display at Jackson Fine Art Atlanta. The opening reception starts at 6pm tomorrow night. The photographer/illustrator will also be giving a talk the following day at 11am.

To all of you lucky people in New York City, here’s your chance to check out Sylvia Ji’s show “Las Adelitas“. This is Sylvia’s first solo show at Joshua Liner Gallery. The LA based artist has created fifteen new paintings for the exhibition. Each piece is done in acrylic on wood panel. If the Sylvia girls are this beautiful on your computer screen, just imagine them in real life! The reception takes place July 10th ( Saturday) from 6-9pm.

Atlanta transplants, Corinne Stevie and Ka’ra Kesley, have come together to bring us a very special project, titled Land of the Free. Ka’ra sings like a bird, while Corinne lays down the raps. The lyrics are meaningful and the instrumentals are so strong, and in your face. Personally the track” Amazing”, is the perfect song to start your day off with. Download the EP here.
