End of the year festivities usually call for excessive amounts of alcohol, herbal consumptions and a single round table to discuss the past and what’s in store for the future. Hip-hop took a left turn during the year of 2010 and parked its vehicles in the lot of many listeners’ computer hard drives. Leaked singles, mixtapes and the infamous weekly music series took over blogs, tweets and Facebook shared link posts. If one was not fully aware of what the art of hip-hop consist of, then this year definitely helped in their reassurance. Grab a seat at the round table while Greedmont Park reflects on the year that hip-hop arose from [what Nas may say] the dead and manifested the origin of creativity in ways that pleased the ear and inspired the mind. “Just got Dipset verses for Christmas in Harlem! Eeeeevrybody on it!!!! Cam, Vado, Jimmy, Pusha, Big Sean, Cyhi, Teyana Taylor & Musiq,” Ye tweeted yesterday afternoon after the leak featuring only Taylor and Prynce appeared on various blogs. G.O.O.D. and Dipset!? That pretty much sums up the track. Awesome gift for fans, including myself. I also ran across news that this should be on Itunes today, but can’t confirm that. You know what to do if it is!! Surprised by Taylor’s vocals on the hook though. She doing her thang, much respect! Maybe she’ll be the first lady of G.O.O.D. Music?? We’ll find out [hopefully] sooner than later. Links below. Enjoy!!

Patience is a virtue. With that in mind, here is this week’s addition of G.O.O.D. Friday. J. Cole is a surprise feature and he lives up to the expectation with his concluding verse. Pusha begins the track with his opening verse, followed by Ye, then Cyhi Da Prynce. Sean‘s flow in this track is at an all-time high as he turns his usual laidback bars into a sped up lyrical explosion. No exaggeration intended, but the catchy lines alone will have this track on repeat for at least another 30 minutes. Check it out by listening and downloading below. Enjoy!!

G.O.O.D. Friday once again! This tradition can never become tiring. This week’s addition contains a real laid-back, chill beat, supposedly produced by Pete Rock, with a sample from a Mayfield track. CuDi chants a line [no verse], Wilson harmonizes and Hov throws a few bars in to complete the equation. Ye takes over the track with his infamous catchphrases and witty lines. This week’s addition is not one of my favorites, but it isn’t so bad to vibe to. Link below. Until next week, one two one two…ENJOY!!

New track from the weekly G.O.O.D. Friday series. Real calm beat with an inspiring hook from the words of Mos Def. Lupe does what he does and does it well. If you are a Lup fan, then you may assume just by the hook alone that this type of song is most fitting for him. Ye brings the autotune back out on this one, no surprise. Big Sean does his homework and delivers a nice concluding verse, which surprised me. Overall, this is one of the great ones from the Friday series. Download link below. Enjoy!!

In the early hours of Saturday morning, Ye delivers this week’s addition of G.O.O.D. Friday. Although I think Keri is a little out of element, it’s nice to have a songstress on one of these tracks. As I continue to hear CyHi Da Prynce on these tracks, I become more anxious to listen to his solo projects. Pusha doesn’t disappoint, as expected. Overall, this is a nice track that holds enough substance to get more than a few spins from me. Grab link below to listen for yourself. Enjoy!!

Yet another addition of the glorious G.O.O.D. Friday!! This track features the Child, the Rebel, and the Soldier; better known as CRS. This hip-hop power [no pun intended] group has been in the works since the pre-Graduation days of 07 and it seems as though they are keeping with their word. Insane track with Skateboard P, the soldier, beginning the track followed by the chid, Lupe, then the rebel, Kanye West, adds the final flame to the fire track with his verse. Shorter track than most of the other G.O.O.D. Friday additions, but the unexpected appearance of the trio together again was enough to take fans breaths away. I also respect The Neptunes type vibe that the production holds. Listen and grab the track below. Enjoy!!
EXTRA: Atlantic Records has set a date for the release of Lupe’s Lasers album, click here.

G.O.O.D. [Saturday] everyone!!! Although Ye said he would not, Ye delivered. Action packed features and nice production. I didn’t fall in love until I heard Mr. Leslie spit a few bars before Banks came in for the kill. This kind of reminds me of the Malik Yusef track Magic Man, but maybe that’s just my early morning brain functioning. Link below for download. Take a few minutes out of your leisure Saturday. Enjoy!!
