Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine team up with Monster to release the Beats By Dr. Dre™ headphone line. Personally, I really haven’t really gotten into the super-expensive-pair-of-headphone trend (I’m cool with the pair tha came with my phone), so I can’t really justify the price, because these things are gonna cost you alittle over $200 a pop. Or you can get the cheaper, watered down verson for $40 cheaper. Available in black and white,  The Beats Solos also features a ControlTalk function for swapping between phone calls and music. Dr. Dre’s been living off commercials for like the past 5 years, I guess he just knows how to capitalize on the situation..

Nokia recently held a design competition for headphones, encouraging designers to base their imaginings on their favorite music. What resulted were some truly insane designs. The one above, for example, is called “I’m Flying” and is based on I Believe I Can Fly by R. Kelly. Although I do admit, they look amazing, I doubt you’ll ever catch me walking around in pair of these Space Jam theme song inspired headphones..
