Since the release of “Lynnie’s Juke Joint,” Texas singer/songwriter Jack Freeman has collaborated with a number of music artists. His latest, “Nobody,” continues to fill the noticeable R&B void. Providing a soulful voice over the production of Chris Rockaway makes for an introspective five minutes of a love once lost. Available on iTunes now.

BNEW – “A Rolling Stone” [MIXTAPE]

Thursday, March 7, 2013 by | No Comments | Category: Entertainment, Music, Rap

It was quite a wait for BNEW’s “A Rolling Stone” to be released. I’m glad it’s finally out, although one of my favorite tracks didn’t make the cut. I’ve always liked dude’s voice and delivery. It’s always appreciated when a rapper actually has something to say. There are many quality artists these days who get overlooked or underrated. Is the industry over saturated? Is it the time we live in? It’s difficult to say. All I know is Hip-Hop is far from dead. Production by Southstar Sounds. Artwork by FlyWidit Customs.

BNEW ft. Fatz Domino – “In Session Flow” [VIDEO]

I’m not sure when this drops, but I’m intrigued. BNEW dropped what I would like to call a short film teaser for his soon to be released project, A Rolling Stone. The visuals preview two of the tracks from his project, “Paying Dues” and “New God Flow” featuring Fatz Domino. Three if you include the track “Gucci Money” that plays at the beginning. I like the way they did that.

Onehunnidt – “Werk” [VIDEO]

Trust me. We at Greedmont Park truly understand what can result from hard work. Mach Five just completed their Ratchet Shit Trilogy in 2 months. With little time to celebrate, and before I knew it, they were already shooting their video for “Turn Up Juice.”  Word of the Day/Month/Year: Werk.

Since winning the 2012 SXSW Coast 2 Coast in March, I haven’t seen Houston lyricist Onehunnidt celebrating much. Sure, he did host a number of events at some known hot spots, but even then he was putting in “werk.” Even after the amount of recognition on his “Keep It 100″ mixtape and a number of  mentions by the Houston Press, Onehunnidt has continued to release new tracks and relevant videos that complement the project. The latest, directed by Coreigh Terry, being “Werk.”

Forget what they told you. Life is a marathon, not a sprint. Jesse Owens and Usain Bolt never quit after their first win. How many total miles would you say they have ran? Werk.

Mike Red – “What” [Video]

Thursday, June 7, 2012 by | No Comments | Category: Entertainment, Music, Music Video, Rap, Video

Woke up this morning. Crust in my eyes and “Wicky. What. What. Wicky wicky. What what…” echoing in my subconscious. Mike Red and Audio Pictures present the first visual from the upcoming street album, “Smoke’N'Soul,” which features full production from Mike Red himself. Inspired by “That 70′s Show,” Mike Red narrates his own smoke session. With the use of alliteration Mike Red goes in ever so subtly, “The THC make me Think Hard Constantly, and Thoughts Have Consequences, That i Handle Comfortably.”

There is no current date for the debut of “Smoke’N'Soul” yet, but follow Mike Red on Twitter for updates.
