New York Psych band The Barrens release a ambitious music video for “Claw Remains”, according to the video is reminiscent to flaming lips and pixies. In the video a couple of individuals and children are moving slowly on stop motion, great video direction that goes well with the harmony of the track. The Barrens are currently attracting attention with their self-titled debute vinyl/digital release album, The Barrens. In addiction being in rotation in 30 college stations all over the US, The band was also selected to play in the CMJ Festival in New York City. NXNE Music Festival in Toronto. They are currently booking live dates for 2012. Watch the video above.

The LA own indie rock band Monks of Mellonwah offer a refreshing new video for the track “Neverending Spirit” promoted by HIP video promo, second track off their EP, Neurogenesis, named “Best Indie Rock” award winners at the 2012 Artists in Music Awards, Australia’s Monks of Mellonwah have been making waves with their new release “Neurogenesis”. who have worked with Johnny Cash, Bon Iver, and Death Cab for Cutie. features the band performing where we see arrangement of clips in the background revisiting the bands childhood memories, excellent song and well produced and executed video, like what you see check them out, enjoy.

The group kickdrums are back with a set of aesthetics for their latest visuals for “Thieve in the Choir” off their recent project, Follow The Leader, with assistance from West Coast rapper Casey Veggies. The visuals fits nicely with the tracks psychedelic effects but somehow can be trippy for some, none the less great song.

If you haven’t heard of this overseas band (Paris/Berlin) Thieves Like Us, you’ve probably been missing out. They have that indie/pop vibe and come out with those 80s styled videos, you can say I fell in love. This video was released in 2010 but they got some other pretty dope visuals & songs. Their new album, BLEED BLEED BLEED is out now, so go cop that!

Hailing from the greatest city in the United States, (Los Angeles) Wildcat! Wildcat! Jesse Taylor, Michael Wilson and Jesse Carmichael, homies before their balls had dropped, fall in the epicenter of today’s ever-growing and now-fashionable indie R&B — lush melodies, falsetto vocals, arching harmonies, all produced and written between them. Their first single “Mr.Quiche” sounds reminiscent of MGMT-meets-Active Child with keys ripped from the ribs of Miike Snow and has been sweeping the internet silently but deadly to those it reaches. They follow it up strongly with another banger charmingly titled End of the World Everyday held down with a Pixie ish bassline. An EP is on the way, the band says. We wish to create a very stylized, uniquely-formatted show consisting of little [absurd, hilarious, terrifying, depressing, and everything in between] slice-of-life ‘vignettes’. All Of The Above has the ability to communicate proverbial snippets of everyone’s day-to-day life. It is genre-less and boundary-breaking, complex while maintaining simplicity, and could truly inspire a new form of film making and visual storytelling altogether. These short ‘vignettes’ could reach and inspire artists to return to simplicity, and give general audiences the means to appreciate the ordinary, the realistically odd, and the downright bizarre.”
