Black Dynamite

Saturday, October 17, 2009 by | 1 Comment; | Category: Entertainment

Malt liquor, kung fu and afro puffs make up this funny movie. Black Dynamite is a spoof of blaxploitation films from the 70s. The movie stars some familiar faces, like Tommy Davidson, and Arsenio Hall. I had the opportunity to see it in an advanced screening last Tuesday. There was a lot to laugh at and plenty memorable quotes. I can say it is one movie that will keep you entertained throughout the entire film.

I went to go see this movie last night called “Sin Nombre”, and it was amazing. If you liked “City of God”, then you’ll love this hispanic movie about MS-13 gangsters. Written and directed by Cary Fukunaga, this is his first indie film, and his cinematography is incredible! It’s is currently showing in limited theaters now, and definitely is a must see! The epitome of third world cinema, it won 2 awards at this years Sundance Film Fest!
