Continuing on with the Game Changers series, I’m bringing you our first female
Miss Yummie Pop herself aka Muffy!
She’s everyone’s favorite cupcake queen but she also takes and handles her biz seriously…LEGGO!

1. Where do you draw your influences from?

I draw it from outside everyday; if the grass is green it creates an emotion in me. When I see a child hugging their mom, I’ll make a song about love.

2.What inspired you to begin rapping?

Actually, I consider myself to be a vocal instrument because I rap and sing. When I was younger my mother was in the music industry and I hated it because she used to come home late and I was like I’m never going to do that. I wanted to be an actress to express myself but I always loved music so I naturally grew into it.

3.You have a unique sound that’s really not defined. What is your personal classification for your sound if any?

I call it Yummie Pop! Yummie is irresistible and delectable. Pop equals popular like it can’t be denied, like oh my God, I have to listen, I need more.

4.Besides being your management is Mizay Entertainment your label also?

No they’re my management, I’m not currently signed to a label but they’re much more to me they’re like family because they go so far and beyond for me.

5.Your “Dope Boi” single has recently hit the streets-what are some of your other upcoming projects?

I have a dope dope single with Shanell from Young Money called “Lipstick Diva”. It’s the bomb dot com and we’ll be shooting the video soon.

6. You also bring a great deal of fashion to your image, do you style yourself?

I do a lot of styling myself. I love to put stuff together as a way to express myself. I also use our in house stylist Iesha. But, overall I love dressing up. I have a strong personal style that comes from not having much and having to be creative naturally.

7. What is your overall vision for your career? In 5 years where do you see yourself in the industry?

In 5 years I see myself everywhere! I want to be a domestic and international pop icon! I want to use my fame as a platform to spread love everywhere and encourage people to be themselves. Also I want to get ready for my babies. I want to have 7-13 babies. You gonna babysit?

Ummm….. I dunno what to say about this one.. All I can say is “I was definitely expected to see more ass and titties!” I just don’t know where they was trying to take the video overall. It seems as if they attempted to tone down the sexuality in her image and intro a more Pop inspired look, but I like her more with the slutty, stripper appeal! There are parts that are shown in black and white, then there are segments in color, and finally these cute little animations that aren’t actually animated at all…..

Not really fan of Gucci, but this “Lemonade” track isn’t really anything to complain about. Produced by Bangladesh and featuring Muffy on the hook. Gucci Mane’s Statement from jail:

“I have accepted full responsibility for my actions and I am ready to deal with what is in front of me right now,” wrote Gucci, born Radric Davis. “Thankfully, my label is still moving forward with my album release so I will have plenty to look forward to when I get out. I am remaining positive and want my fans to know that I am grateful for their loyalty and continued support. I will get through this.”

Corinne Stevie sweetens an old Muffy song “Sweet” with a tablespoon of Splenda. The original song reminded me of Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” with a slutty, gold digger twist to it, but now it’s like one of the characters from To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar got a hold of it, and did their thang to it. Strangely enough, I still kinda like it…

I got a ton of hate mail in my inbox, so I decided to search the web for something new. Muffy just did this new joint with Gucci Mane (I see Coach K is pulling some strings). I like this track, it reminds me of a Kelis song; which you can’t usually help but love. This is exactly what I want to hear from a female rapper, girlie shit, be a woman. That’s sexy, I hate it when a chick comes on a song sounding more gangster than my big brother. Prod. by Bangledesh

First official video from Muffy, I’m not really feeling the song myself, but you be the judge. It seems everyone swears they all have haters these days…. But maybe it’s you that’s just not doing something right.. and they’re just being honest… Just because you have haters, it doesn’t make you any cooler. Definitely can’t hate on those legs though!

Duffy shes an artist out of the U.K shes friggin ill, so I’m like what the flick we got Duffy, Uffie and Local superstar Muffy, lol i just thought that was quite amusing , Im a big fan of Uffie for the most part check her out shes making alot of noise, I think she did some shows on the Fools Gold Tour, Muffy has a pretty interesting sound as well, I recommend starting off with the song”Stepping Stone” from Duffy stuff is crack music, Uffie and Muffy have a similar sound but Uffie’s more on some hip hop , Peace!!
