This new FKi mixtape goes pretty hard! A-town natives, Raye Rich & 1st Down definitely showed out on this one, producing and recoding the whole thing themselves.. With mega appearances from Slim Thug, Rick Ross, Mickey Factz, XV, Rob Roy, and Mums FP, just to name a few.

DGK and DJ Don Cannon put out this monthly mixtape hosted by Dj Fu called MC’s U Should Know to provide an outlet for up and coming artists. As you would expect it features a shitload of rappers I never heard of, but a few familiars include…. Priceless, GLC, Black Milk, Senor Kaos, Mach Five, Mums FP, Sean Falyon, and Young Scolla. Mums FP drops a new joint for us, in my opinion, 2 years too late! Everything about this song has that early Cool Kidz feel, which is just kinda played out. Simon says “He’s got some decent lyrics, but that hook sounds alittle flat ______.”

Mums FP dropped his Mr. 4th Quarter EP in August. With features from Dreamer of Hollyweerd and Flo of Fusion, the EP is definitely a great demonstration of Mums lyrical abilities (Almost reminds me of some Lupe’s early work). Although I’m not much of a basket ball fan, its still definitely worth a download. My favorite song is probably “Showtime”
Mr. 4th Quarter is basically a project about the correlation between a ball player who is looked at as someone who can be counted on in the clutch and a MC that is considered great at his craft and is looked upon to “save rap.” I tried to make this project flow like a critical playoff game in the NBA would.

Here’s some footage I caught at Atlanta Indie, just a few performances from Atlanta’s hottest indepentant artist. An all-day including acts from Brittany Bosco, Hollyweerd, Supreeme, Mach 5, Jaspects, Yelawolf, and many more. Held within the confinements of a packed parking lot next the The Bench in 40 degree weather, as artist rocked the stage with a train yard as the background.
