I don’t know if y’all remember me posting the “All Things Go” joint a couple days ago(maybe a week) but G.O.D did drop his mixtape GreatnessOpenDoors yesterday and as I expected its dope as fuck. A great listen. I would tell anyone to download it and put this everywhere you go, ipod, mp3, car, phone, etc! DO IT NOW, an overall great mixtape from Jewels who is hailing from the Chi town. They have a good number of really good lyrical artists. I can dig it.

I have once again been reunited with one of my favorite up and coming rappers. GodJewels was introduced to me by a good friend of mine who has worked with the guy. I have both of his mixtapes that he dropped last year in 09 and was instantly supportive of the movement. You will be reminded throughout the video where Jewels is from (Chicago). This video was an overall success. Directed by Noah Christofer the visuals were DOPE the whole way through..(I gotta get one of those bulls jackets..crazy swag).

I saw this yesterday and was excited because I knew exactly who this group was! LOL. My homie put me on to these cats a couple weeks ago and they finally came out with a video for the song ” She makes me Feel”. I love the song and the visuals in this video are dope as hell. I enjoyed this a lot, almost wish it could have been longer haha.

I’m still shocked at the passing of Guru (of legendary rap group Gang Starr). I am not one to mourn death, but celebrate life. Now is the time to get to know maybe his more obscure work to today’s Hip-Hop generation. His album, “Jazzmatazz: Volume 1″ is one of my favorite Hip-Hop albums, period. It’s a cool blend of rap and jazz that reminds you of A Tribe Called Quest and Digable Planets, but with a swagger only Guru had. Check it out or replay it in his honor, music heads.
