When it comes to contemporary art, we tend to focus on emerging artists with newer works. But you can’t forget about the artists who have already established themselves in the art world. New York based artist, Lisa Yuskavage earned her MFA from Yale back in 1986. When though that was more than twenty years ago her work remains timeless and relevant. Yuskavage recently exhibited a new body of works at the Greengrassi gallery in London.

Painting with needles is exactly what Amanda Wachob does. Amanda has been tattooing since 1998, and works Dare Devil Tattoo in New York City. Her tattoos are amazing and so are her works on canvas. Check out her website for more images.

First saw this dude’s work on a cover for Fangoria Comic’s Vampirella a few months back. I love the feel of his stuff.There’s an eary blankness to the women he illustrates,like beautiful golems. Pluse he draws breast very very well I respect that it aint easy. (more…)
