Rap singer, song writer A.ware of Mach Five is currently putting the finishing touches on his up and coming concept project “Superficial Paradise”. A journey into the realm of a perfect paradise, something often dreamed about but a mere fantasy at the end of it all. Each song represents a piece to an unfinished puzzle, and over the next few weeks we will share these absent pieces. The first installment we present to you is “Unusual Love” a love story of a perfect love with no constraints, something so pure and innocent. This is Our gift to you, we hope you enjoy!

We recently took a trip to LA and decided to document our experience by recording a video for A.ware of Mach Five‘s hit single “Hollywood” from the Sex on a Sunday LP (now available on iTunes) Produced by Ethereal. Enjoy!

Producer, Optimus Pikachu (aka Ethereal), perverts a few of Michael Jackson’s classics, by sampling them and adding psychedelic, laid-back hip-hop instrumentals over it. And leaves us with something that sounds halfway between 80′s dance and free-artshow-at-coffeehouse-background-music. I had high hopes when I first caught wind of this project, after hearing the tracks he produced for A.ware’s Please Stand By. But this really doesn’t compare to his previous work, I expected to hear faster percussion, heavier bass and and creative use of 16-bit synthesizers. Not regurgitated, repackaged bullshit.

Mach Five has left use hungry for new music for awhile now, and they finally decided to appease our appetite with this little piece of ear candy called Sex on a Sunday Sampler. To promote their new album Sex on a Sunday LP coming December 1st, 2009. Once again they managed to break all the rules, for this is not your typical “sampler” full of song snippets, but features seven full unreleased songs. Corey states “We just wanted to give people a preview of what the album is gonna sound like, build the hype back up. But there are actually only two songs from the album on it… Which is ‘On My way’ and ‘Rebecca’.” Personally my favorite track is ‘Microwave ft. Kara Kersey’
Simon says “This is interesting, I can’t wait to hear more.”
