Matt Martian and Syd the Kid bring us a mellow, jazz-infused track with their latest “Give It Time“. Syd’s voice is sultry and, together with the guitar, feels almost like a sweet lullaby. This track is definitely not something you’d expect from the Odd Future cohort but if I’ve learned anything about Odd Future through their music over the years, it is to expect the unexpected. Plus, they’ve got Mike Einziger from Incubus playing guitar. Their newest Feel Good EP will be released in December.

If you don’t know Speak by now I bet you like or hate this song he wrote that created the whole mantra that Kreayshawn and White Girl Mob lives by. Yeah this guy wrote it. He also wrote this very dope album of his own called Inside Out Boy full of stuff that touches on drugs, sex, and Framboise. Speak is the Bruce Villanch of song writing and the indie rock/trillwave version of Andy Kaufman. Enough…..just listen here. Interview on GreedmontPark.com coming soon.
