The Queen of Memphis, Gangsta Boo is back with that ol’ school, sinister Triple Six Mafia sound on her new track “Indiana Jones” from her recent mixtape It’s Game Involved, in which she enlisted the help of SpaceGhostPurrp and the Raider Clan for help on the production. I also had the pleasure of designing the album cover, check out the video and give the mixtape a listen down below.

“Mach Five is Corey Davis and A.Ware, an Atlanta duo who linked up as teenagers in 2007 and selected their moniker based on the “live fast, die young” attitude of the 1960s cartoon Speed Racer. Aside from churning out tracks at a rapid pace, the pair also founded culture blog/magazine Greedmont Park in 2008 and have a hand in the annual Atlanta Indie Fest. They’ve dropped two free EPs—Ratchet Shit Vol. 1 and Vol. 2—already this year, the first of which included a standout collaboration with Danny Brown on party anthem “Molly On My Tongue.” Now, Mach Five present “Turn Up Juice,” another homage to good times, featuring Memphis’ Gangsta Boo. Not be confused with turnip juice (a great source of calcium), the three praise an elixir that will make you the life of the party over an appropriately heady, chirping beat.” -The Fader

It’s difficult to find rappers rapping when so many are exchanging hard-hitting verses for auto-tune cries and vying for GQ covers. Mach Five‘s catchy hooks and scathing verses make Ratchet Shit Vol. 1 one of the most exciting efforts Hip-Hop has offered 2012. This abrasive and interesting work will take listeners on a familiar ride with the rapping renegades.
The critically acclaimed duo comprised of A.ware and Corey Davis talk girls, drugs, partying and the low-life occasionally bringing in a few friends like Project Pat and last year’s breakthrough rapper, Danny Brown. The first volume of the Ratchet Shit trilogy is orchestrated by Asston Kusher, presented by 2DopeBoyz and hosted by the legendary OG Ron C. While the music is a satirical homage to “ratchet” lifestyle there is nothing low-brow about what ‘hood brilliance Mach Five has cooked up this go ’round!

The Queen of Memphis and former Three 6 Mafia member, Gangsta Boo, is back with “Laughing at Them Haters.” In the video, she dances around her studio with her DJ, Speakerfoxxx and other friends, while addressing comments about Nicki Minaj and Kreayshawn. The Drumma Boy track is impeccable horror score music, the kind of thing that the original queen of crunk should be rhyming over—a track packed with both femininity and bite.
